Howard Associates, Inc. is looking for a full-time Landscape Architectural Intern or Project Landscape Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent Autocad skills, an interest in design, be a self-starter, and be able to work independently. We are primarily interested in candidates with 1-3 years of experience.
Duties include:
Assist with the design and drafting of landscape architectural projects, including urban developments, hotels, parks and recreation centers, commercial buildings and residential communities.
- Assist with the preparation of landscape architectural concept designs
- Preparation of concept graphics
- Preparation of construction documents, including hardscape, planting and irrigation plans
- Conduct site visits.
- Assist with the coordination of project management documents, including budgets and timelines.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or firm leadership team.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited college or university (preferred).
- 0-3 years’ experience
- Excellent Autocad skills
- Photoshop (preferred)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
- Hand design and graphic skills are a plus, but not required
Required Qualities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. This includes but is not limited to writing emails, speaking on phone calls, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; including but not limited to interacting with clients, co-workers, vendors, etc. and working cooperatively with our team.
- License not required, but we strongly encourage you to work towards it.
