Role
This position will be responsible for functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Responsibilities
*Computes and prepares data for journal entries, reviews general ledger accounts, prepares account reconciliations, accumulates and analyzes information for the preparation of ledgers, reports, and taxes.
*Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and P/L statements.
*Verify and/or complete payment of invoices associated with AP and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
* Responds to information requests and assists with audits.
*Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and actual expenditures.
*Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner;
*Communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements;
*Review all financial plans and compare to actual results...identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
Qualifications
Education...Associate’s degree in Accounting, or related field, required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, preferred.
Experience...2+ years of related experience, required.
Experience in a multiple operation retail environment, preferred.
Skills
*Working knowledge of Quickbooks
*Budgeting experience
*Proficient in PC-based Windows, Word and Excel.
*Analytic, organization and problem solving skills which allows for strategic data
interpretation versus simple reporting.
*Technology savvy...working knowledge of accounting and reporting software.
*Data entry skills, organization skills, attention to detail, auditing skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills...experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations, to ownership.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
