Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong background in kitchen operations. This role involves preparing and cooking meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality food service for our guests. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are adhered to
- Support the team during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of meals
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient inventory management as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or culinary roles is preferred
- Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Experience with menu planning, fine dining, catering, or food industry operations is advantageous
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of food safety standards are essential
- Background in restaurant or kitchen environments demonstrating proficiency in food handling and meal preparation
- Familiarity with food service, cooking techniques, and food presentation standards is desirable
