Retail Culinary Specialist (Part-Time)

At Artisano’s Provisions, we create an experience. From olive oils and vinegars to spices and teas, our shop is built around tasting, learning, and discovery. We’re looking for passionate, curious individuals who can turn a simple visit into something memorable.
You’ll sample, educate, and guide guests, helping them explore flavors and gain confidence in the kitchen. (Looking for someone to work a couple of week days and someone for Saturday and occasional Sunday. If interested you can work both).

What You’ll Do
- Welcome every guest with warmth and genuine curiosity
- Lead engaging tasting experiences and teach simple tasting techniques
- Share product knowledge, cooking ideas, and health benefits
- Confidently guide guests from sampling to purchase
- Operate POS system and handle transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and inviting store
- Support daily operations including opening, closing, and restocking
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in specialty retail, food service, or customer-focused environments preferred
- A passion for food, cooking, and healthy living
- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to connect with people
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends
- (We are closed major holidays so our team can celebrate: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day)
Physical & Practical Requirements
- Ability to be active on the sales floor for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and reach up to 60”
- Basic POS familiarity preferred (easy to learn if you have never used a POS system)
- High school diploma or equivalent
