Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control, and support the delivery of high-quality patient care across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards
- Take and develop X-rays, including digital imaging , ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety.
- Manage patient flow by greeting patients as a dental receptionist would, scheduling appointments, and updating medical records
- Educate patients on dental terminology, procedures, and post-treatment care instructions
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality
- Maintain clinical supplies inventory and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocol
- Assist with dental laboratory procedures such as prosthodontics fabrication
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant credential required; experience in general dentistry is essential
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic technique
- Experience with dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines
- Familiarity with dental terminology for documentation purposes
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during complex procedures such as endodontics or prosthodontics
- Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dental care
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly desirable
