American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with cardiac cath experience for a hybrid lab performing both cardiac and IR cases at a short-term acute care facility.

Work in a hybrid cath lab that performs both Cardiac Cath and IR cases — no neuro or structural heart cases
-
Short-term acute care hospital with 223 staffed beds
-
Daily caseload of approximately 25 cases per technologist
-
4x10 hour day shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
-
On-call is required: one week on call followed by two weeks off; call team consists of 2 RNs and 2 techs
-
STEMI call and IR are covered by the same call team
-
No floating within the facility or to sister facilities

Cerner EMR preferred
-
Local candidates are accepted

Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required; strong IR experience preferred

Cardiac Cath skills required: balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, coil embolization, filter placement, pacemaker/defibrillator device placement, Impella insertion, left heart and right heart catheterization

IR skills required: stents, angioplasty, thoracentesis, peripheral studies (upper/lower extremity, abdominal/pelvic, genitourinary), vascular studies, and venous access

EKG experience required: rhythm interpretation, sinus node rhythms, holter monitoring, pacemakers

EP experience required: baseline measurements, insertion/programming of AICDs and pacemakers

General skills required: scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating

FL license required if applicable

Current BLS and ACLS required

COVID-19 vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions accepted
