Overview
We are seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our team for the fall season. This position is responsible for operating our grill and preparing burger patties for guests throughout our busiest weekend hours. Unlike a typical back-of-house cook role, this position works in full view of and in direct interaction with our guests — so a friendly, outgoing personality is just as important as grill experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable working a high-volume grill station in a fast-paced, outdoor setting while engaging with guests along the way.
This position is Saturdays and Sundays, 10am–6pm, running throughout the fall season.
Responsibilities
- Operate the grill station, cooking burger patties to proper temperature and quality standards
- Interact directly with guests at the grill, creating a fun and welcoming experience as part of their visit
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe grill and prep area throughout the shift
- Monitor food quality and consistency during high-volume weekend service
- Follow proper food safety and handling procedures at all times
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment
- Restock and manage grill station inventory as needed during shifts
Experience
- Previous line cook or grill experience required
- Friendly, outgoing personality with genuine enjoyment of interacting with guests — this is a major plus for this role
- Understanding of safe food handling and preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain quality during high-volume, fast-paced periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
