Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring the highest level of patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, vital signs, and the ability to work efficiently in both clinic and hospital settings, including Level I and Level II Trauma Centers.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical histories and explaining procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology.
- Experience in hospital medicine or clinical settings is preferred.
- Proficiency in taking vital signs accurately.
- Familiarity with the operations of Level I Trauma Centers and Level II Trauma Centers.
- Ability to work effectively within various healthcare systems.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and medical staff professionally.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
