Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and team-oriented Kitchen Worker to join our food services staff. This role supports daily meal preparation, service, and cleanup to ensure students receive nutritious meals in a clean and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and serving breakfast and lunch to students
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, and serving areas
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols
- Help with inventory, stocking, and receiving deliveries
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and school personnel to ensure smooth operations
- Interact positively with students and staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous food service experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Must pass a background check and meet school safety requirements
- Must have a food handlers permit or be willing to obtain
Schedule & Compensation
- Hours include: 8:00am-4:00pm M-Th
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience
- School holidays and breaks off
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
