MOVE DIRT. GROW GRASS.
Every roll of sod we sell starts with flat, well-drained ground — and that is your job. We are looking for an experienced dirtpan operator who can run a pan behind a big tractor, hold a grade, and turn a harvested field back into ground our planters and harvesters can work.
If you can read grade, respect the equipment, and take pride in a field that drains right and cuts clean, we want to talk to you.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
▪ Run tractor-drawn dirt pans to cut, haul, and place soil across our production fields.
▪ Level fields to grade using laser and GPS control — fill the ruts, take down the humps, keep the water moving where it should.
▪ Restore harvested blocks so they are ready to plant, and shape ditches, ponds, pads, and farm roads.
▪ Run supporting equipment: land planes, box blades, discs, rippers, rollers, loaders.
▪ Grease it, check it, and speak up when something is wrong — you keep your machine right.
▪ Work with the harvest, planting, and irrigation crews to keep fields turning over on schedule.
WHAT YOU BRING
▪ 2+ years running dirt pans, scrapers, dozers, or graders — farm or construction, both count.
▪ The ability to hold a grade and work off stakes or a laser; GPS machine control is a plus.
▪ Good judgment about soil and moisture — you know when the ground will haul and when it will not.
▪ Solid mechanical sense and a clean, safety-first way of working.
▪ Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus. 18 or older.
▪ Willingness to work long hours, Saturdays, and weather-driven schedules during the season.
