Why Dartmoor?
At Dartmoor School, teaching is personal. Every class is one-to-one, every student is known, and every instructor is encouraged to teach in a way that truly works. If you believe deeply in the capabilities of children, value relationship-based learning, and want to make a real difference, then this is a place where your work matters every day.
About Dartmoor School
For over 35 years, Dartmoor School has provided individualized, one-to-one education for students in Grades 1–12 with diverse learning profiles. We are an NAIS-affiliated, fully accredited private school approved by OSPI as both a private school and Non-Public Agency, with NCAA-approved high school coursework. Dartmoor is a year-round, open-enrollment school with campuses in Bellevue, Bothell, Issaquah, and Seattle.
About the Opportunity
Due to our year-round, individualized model, Dartmoor accepts applications on an ongoing basis. We currently have a need at our Issaquah campus for a part-time instructor with a broad range of experience teaching humanities, math and science from elementary through high school. We welcome educators at all stages of their careers, from early-career teachers to experienced educators and retirees who want to remain engaged in meaningful work.
About the Role
Dartmoor seeks educators who believe first and foremost in the potential of every student. Many of our learners are neurodivergent or have experienced barriers in traditional school settings. Experience supporting diverse learning needs is highly valued. Instructors design personalized learning plans, build confidence, and support academic and personal growth. You’ll join a small, collaborative team where your creativity, insight, and relationships with students truly matter. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a lasting impact, one student at a time. All classes are taught one-to-one and take place on-site.
