- Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment and great communication skills. This is an hourly + tips position.
- Responsibilities
- - Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks following recipes- Operate the register and handle transactions accurately- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, stock items as needed and update price signage as needed- Provide excellent customer service, including taking orders, serving wine and beer and bringing food to guests who eat in at the coffee shop- Upsell products and promote specials to customers- Follow health and safety guidelines for food preparation as there you will be responsible to for making fresh juices from time to time
- Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation, sales, or the food industry is preferred- Knowledge of Toast POS system is a plus, but not a must- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor- Ability to multitask and demonstrate effective time management- Familiarity with espresso and coffee brewing techniques and equipment is a must- Prior experience with food handling and sanitation practices
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
