Position Overview
Pump Technician I is an entry-level role focused on learning and developing core mechanical and technical skills. This position is responsible for assisting with basic inspections, maintenance, and service tasks while supporting senior technicians in field and shop operations. Pump Technicians I are expected to actively participate in E-Tank’s Safety Culture, complete required documentation, and provide excellent customer service at job sites.
Job Type & Work Schedule
Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly
Shift Expectations: Must be available to work assigned shifts (8:00am – 5:00pm), including overtime and weekends as required. Participation in the on-call rotation may also be required.
Work Location: Assigned branch location with travel to customer sites as needed.
Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & Compliance
- Actively participate in the company’s Safety Culture.
- Follow PPE, Lock Out/Tag Out, and tool safety protocols.
- Report unsafe activities to supervisors or HR.
Technical & Operational Support
- Perform basic inspections and services such as oil/filter changes and greasing bearings.
- Learn safe operation of cordless, pneumatic, and shop tools.
- Assist with assembling and securing pump systems.
- Support receiving, inspecting, and stocking filters, pumps, hoses, and tools.
Customer Service & Documentation
- Assist in loading, securing, delivering, and installing pumps at customer sites.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing questions on-site.
- Complete all required paperwork and digital documentation accurately.
Qualifications & Experience
- Entry-level mechanical aptitude with interest in pump systems.
- Able to use calculators, tablets, tape measures, and maps.
- Physically able to lift up to 100 lbs and perform strenuous tasks daily.
- Must be motivated, safety-oriented, and a team player with customer service orientation.
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Career Growth & Advancement
Pump Technician I builds a strong foundation in pump service, safety practices, and tool use. Successful completion prepares individuals for advancement to Pump Technician II, where they will independently perform troubleshooting and field service.
**Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this role, pump employees must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and are subject to random testing.**
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
