Self Storage company is looking for an Assistant to work part-time in our Longwood, FL self storage facility. The scheduled days/hours are Sundays 9am-1pm and Mondays 9am-5pm (12 hours per week). Additional hours may be available at times when coverage is needed. The ideal candidate will be reliable, self-motivated, have a customer-oriented personality with strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills. Interested candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office and navigating the Internet. This is an independent work environment, applicants should be comfortable working alone.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Help customers understand their storage needs, renting units to new customers, processing payments, answering questions and solving problems
Open and close the office on scheduled days
Consult, sell, and upsell to promote merchandise sales
Assist Manager by ensuring accounts are current and perform collections responsibilities as necessary
Assist Manager by ensuring the appearance of the property is customer ready by conducting daily walk-throughs and maintaining the property
Assist Manager with cleaning vacated units and monitoring the physical condition of the facility
Qualifications:
Degree and/or some college preferred
High school diploma or GED required
Valid driver's license
Pre-employment background
Reliability is a must
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of direct exposure to business operations, preferably in a customer service-oriented or sales organization
Experience with light bookkeeping helpful
Computer skills required
