Description: Pinnacle Staffing is seeking an experienced Industrial Valve Repair Technician / Assembler for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a client in Tempe, AZ. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial equipment repair, mechanical assembly, valve systems, and precision tools. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical documentation while working in a cleanroom-controlled environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble, disassemble, rebuild, and repair industrial valves, including gate, globe, ball, butterfly, check, and control valves.
- Install and replace components such as stems, seats, seals, gaskets, packing, actuators, and mechanical parts.
- Perform valve modifications and adjustments according to customer and engineering specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and precision measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Inspect valves and components for damage, wear, corrosion, and operational issues.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Perform pressure testing, leak testing, functional testing, and quality inspections.
- Complete repair documentation, inspection records, and test reports.
- Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and cleanroom contamination control standards.
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of experience in industrial repair, mechanical assembly, equipment maintenance, manufacturing, or related environments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measuring equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Preferred
- Experience repairing industrial valves, actuators, fluid control equipment, or vacuum systems.
- Experience working in an ISO-certified cleanroom environment (ISO Class 7 or higher preferred).
- Knowledge of contamination control procedures and cleanroom requirements.
- Experience with pressure testing, leak testing, and quality inspection processes.
- Familiarity with API, ANSI, ASME, or other industry standards.
- Experience using quality management systems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements while using tools.
- Ability to work in industrial environments and confined spaces when required.
Work Environment
- Industrial manufacturing and repair facility.
- Exposure to mechanical equipment, noise, vibration, and varying temperatures.
- May work with specialized cleaning solvents and industrial materials.
- Requires consistent adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
