Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Spa and Pool Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team in Portland and surrounding areas. This role is essential for ensuring the optimal operation, cleanliness, and safety of swimming pools and related equipment. The successful candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with pool systems, and proficiency in equipment maintenance. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of pool systems, including pumps, filters, heaters, and chemical dosing equipment to identify issues proactively.
- Perform routine cleaning of pools, including skimming debris, vacuuming surfaces, and maintaining water clarity.
- Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system conditions for record-keeping and reporting.
- Assist with chemical balancing and water testing to maintain safe and healthy swimming conditions.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure safety standards are met.
- Support preventive maintenance schedules by inspecting equipment for wear and tear and addressing potential issues before failure occurs.
Experience
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician with a focus on pool systems or related mechanical equipment.
- Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and specialized pool maintenance equipment.
- Familiarity with pool cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and water chemistry principles.
- Previous work involving maintenance tasks in commercial or residential settings is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documenting maintenance activities.
