American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Oncology Clinic (Radiation Therapy) position requiring active chemotherapy certification and at least one year of chemotherapy experience.

Day shift, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week

13-week contract

Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)

Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)

ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) required

Minimum 1 year of chemotherapy experience required

Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required

1 year of oncology experience preferred

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred

Proficiency in IV infusion initiation, regulation, and monitoring, including blood products

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of oncology patients, monitoring and responding to physiological changes

Administers medications, manages IV infusions and blood products, and assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures

Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders

Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
-
Delegates tasks to support staff and coordinates referrals based on patient care needs

Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for another contract

Compliance requirements, including drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements, must be completed promptly — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
