Network Cabling Services (NCS) is seeking experienced Structured Cabling Technicians, Installers, and Fiber Technicians to join our growing team. This is an urgent hiring need for professionals with commercial installation experience who are committed to delivering high-quality work in a safe and professional manner.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting structured cabling and fiber optic systems in commercial environments, including office buildings, hospitals, schools, data centers, warehouses, and other commercial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, route, terminate, label, and test Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling.
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, wiring diagrams, and project specifications.
- Install cable pathways, including conduit, cable tray, J-hooks, innerduct, and ladder rack.
- Perform fiber splicing, termination, testing, and certification using industry-standard equipment (preferred).
- Install telecommunications equipment, network racks, cabinets, patch panels, and associated hardware.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cabling and connectivity issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site while following all OSHA and company safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, customers, and team members.
- Complete work accurately while meeting project schedules and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of commercial structured cabling experience.
- Experience with structured cabling installations in commercial environments is required.
- Experience with fiber optic installation, termination, testing, or splicing is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read construction drawings and cable schedules.
- Experience installing cable support systems and network infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of TIA/EIA industry standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders, lifts, and in ceilings.
- Reliable transportation to job sites.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- BICSI certification (preferred)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
