Tilbury Floral Design is seeking to fill multiple part-time/seasonal Floral Processing Assistant positons. In this role, you will help process flowers so that the florists can use them to design floral arrangements.
No experience needed! We will train you.
The work is performed on one or two Wednesdays a month and takes place in our home-based studio in Alexandria, Virginia. You will not be required to work every Wednesdays, just the ones you can commit to working. Please note - once you indicate that you can work a certain day and you are put on the schedule, you must commit to working that day.

Duties
No training necessary, you will receive training on your first day! Under the guidance of a florist, you will:
- Assist in unpackaging flowers from their shipping boxes
- Help clean the flowers and condition them so that the florist can design with them
Requirements and Qualifications
Processing flowers can be physically demanding because it will require you to stand up for 3 - 5 hours, so we are looking for self-motivated individuals who:
- Are organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
- Have a positive disposition and work well in a group environment
- Can problem solve
- Have at least a high-school degree
- Are proficient in the english language
- Have a valid driver's license and their own form of transportation
- Are 18 years or older
- Available to work in the U.S.
- Are able to lift at least 25 lbs
- Must be able to work quickly and follow directions
Hours and Salary
The work is usually performed on a Wednesday, starting late morning (around 10am or 11am) or early afternoon (around 1pm or 2pm) and will generally be between 3 - 5 hours, depending in how many flowers need to be processed.
Floral Processing Assistants will earn $20 per hour.
The work is usually scheduled for one or two Wednesdays a month but you are not required to work all of those dates.
