Patrol Officer – Town of Mount Jackson Police Department
The Town of Mount Jackson Police Department is seeking a dedicated and professional Patrol Officer to join our team and serve our community. Applicants must be Virginia State Certified at the time of hire.
This position is responsible for preserving public safety and maintaining a secure environment through proactive patrol, enforcement of local and state laws, response to calls for service, and community engagement. Duties include conducting patrol operations, monitoring public areas, investigating incidents, and working collaboratively to protect the residents, businesses, and visitors of the Town of Mount Jackson.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct patrols of assigned areas
- Investigate suspicious behavior and incidents
- Provide assistance to people in need
- Submit reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
- Respond to alarms and calls of distress
Qualifications:
- Virginia State Certification Required
- 21 years of age
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- United States Citizen
- Must possess a valid Virginia driver's license
- No criminal record
