Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression and assisting with seating arrangements
- Manage guest reservations efficiently, ensuring accurate seating assignments and waitlist management
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food delivery and special requests
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to tables swiftly while maintaining presentation quality
- Assist servers with guest needs by refilling drinks, clearing plates, and responding to inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and dining area throughout shifts
- Uphold exceptional guest service standards by demonstrating professionalism, friendliness, and attentiveness at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or food runner in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Knowledge of restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with a positive attitude and excellent phone etiquette
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Flexibility to work full-time hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Hotel or guest services experience is a plus but not required
