Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to efficiently clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools while adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks and support the kitchen team in maintaining a clean work environment.
- Clear and bus tables promptly, ensuring dining areas are tidy and ready for new guests.
- Follow strict sanitation protocols to ensure all surfaces, equipment, and utensils meet health standards.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and supplies safely while maintaining proper ergonomic practices.
- Support kitchen staff by organizing clean dishes and assisting with light cleaning duties throughout the shift.
- Maintain compliance with food safety management standards and uphold restaurant health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued.
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation procedures, and kitchen health standards is advantageous.
- Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning tools safely.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items regularly during shifts.
