In this role, you’ll work on a range of plumbing installation and new construction projects. Projects include water heater installations, fixture installations, rough-ins, and system installations across small to mid-sized new construction job sites. You’ll work independently while having the support of an experienced team behind you — taking ownership of your projects, delivering quality work, and representing Anchor Mechanical professionally on every job site.
What You'll Be Working On
- Water heater replacements and upgrades
- Plumbing system renovations, remodels, and replacements
- New construction plumbing installations
- Fixture installations and piping modifications
- Small construction projects across new construction job sites
Key Responsibilities
- Install, replace, and modify plumbing systems and related equipment
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents
- Ensure all work complies with applicable plumbing codes and safety standards
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation
- Maintain clear communication with project managers and team members on every job
Required Qualifications
- Maryland Journeyman Plumber License
- Minimum 3 years of plumbing installation experience
- Experience with commercial new construction plumbing systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plumbing plans
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and troubleshoot effectively
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environments
- Excellent communication skills and professional work ethic
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of plumbing installation experience
- Experience managing projects independently from start to finish
- Backflow certification
- Knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations
- Experience coordinating with construction schedules and multiple trades
