Essential Duties and Responsibilities
In this role you will be:
- Organizing effective teaching plans with appropriate teaching strategies.
- Resolving problems and communicating effectively at many different cultural levels.
- Identifying and working to achieve personal and team goals, as well as modeling patient advocacy in healthcare, guiding customers through the informed decision-making process.
- Participating in all IRMC mandatory opportunities and community events.
- Assuring evidence-based educational programs.
- Participating in performance improvement projects.
- Completing assigned department projects/tasks.
- Assisting with department budget and attending department meetings.
- Scheduling shadowing time on the maternity center twice a year.
- Working cooperatively with all members of the perinatal education team.
- Assisting with staff in-services.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required
- EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years’ experience working with children required
- Breastfeeding knowledge required
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- BLS required or obtain within 30 days
