Duties
- Pick up packages and materials from vendors and transport them to designated storage pods or assigned locations.
- Receive, organize, and store items in storage pods to ensure materials are secure and easy to locate.
- Maintain inventory awareness of items stored in pods to ensure accurate tracking and organization.
- Distribute the correct items to authorized individuals when requested, verifying requests before release.
- Safely handle and transport packages to prevent damage, loss, or misplacement.
- Communicate with vendors, staff, and event personnel regarding deliveries, pickups, and storage needs.
- Assist vendors by directing them to appropriate delivery locations when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment around storage pods and delivery areas.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Iowa State Fair and its programs to assist vendors, staff, and visitors effectively.
- Provide professional and courteous service while representing the organization in a positive manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including rain and 90 degree temperatures or above.
Displays high standards of ethical conduct.
Displays a high level of initiative, effort and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently. Works with minimal supervision. Demonstrates responsible behavior and attention to detail.
Must be 16 years of age or older.
