Your Mission: Join a dynamic team in designing and developing utility-scale solar projects, contributing to the growth and success of our civil engineering department.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing bids for outsourced civil/structural services.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Review and provide input on civil subcontractor designs.
- Conduct preliminary site evaluations using tools like ArcGIS and Topography.
- Assist in developing Permit Matrixes for regulatory approvals.
- Support the creation of civil site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Collaborate on SWPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention)/Hydrology/Pile Design tasks.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design standards and specifications.
- Uphold ethical standards and compliance with state regulations in all business activities.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in the solar or renewable energy field.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with subcontractors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Detail-oriented with strong planning, process, and project management abilities.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to technical excellence and long-term success.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in Storm Water Management calculations.
- Familiarity with Hydraulic Modeling software (e.g., PC-SWMM or HEC-RAS).
- Exposure to Geotechnical investigation requirements.
- Understanding of structural foundation design concepts.
