Valley Village is seeking a dependable, positive, and team-oriented Full-Time Kitchen Assistant to join our dining services team. If you enjoy working with older adults and take pride in providing excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
Schedule
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Five shifts per week, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Includes every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
About Valley Village
Valley Village is a nonprofit senior living community dedicated to providing affordable community housing, care, and compassion for older adults who want to age in place with others. Located in Townshend, Vermont, we're an easy commute from Brattleboro, Bellows Falls, and Londonderry. What You'll Do
- Assist with meal preparation and food service according to residents' dietary needs and daily menus
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and operating efficiently
- Work collaboratively with the dietary team to provide an outstanding dining experience for our residents
What We're Looking For
- Friendly, dependable, and compassionate with a genuine respect for older adults
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- One year of food service experience preferred (we're happy to train the right candidate)
- Must be at least 18 years old and have reliable transportation
