Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems.
- Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and diesel engines, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and alignments to optimize handling and ride quality.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately to troubleshoot electrical systems such as automotive electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to execute repairs with precision and efficiency.
- Service vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all repairs adhere to safety standards and quality benchmarks while providing excellent customer service.
Experience
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Familiarity with schematics interpretation, automotive wiring diagrams, and electronic troubleshooting techniques.
- Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, ADAS calibration, and vehicle systems diagnostics.
- Mechanical knowledge spanning powertrain, transmissions, vehicle suspension systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic tools, power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment for complex repairs.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently on GM vehicles or similar makes with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Strong customer service skills combined with technical proficiency to communicate effectively with clients about repairs needed and performed.
