Responsibilities
- Lead the kitchen team in food preparation and cooking, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
- Oversee food management processes including inventory management, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere while enhancing their culinary skills.
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and quality control during service periods.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Manage kitchen schedules to optimize staff performance while maintaining labor costs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the culinary industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and safety standards.
- Experience in fine dining establishments is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and restaurant management practices.
