Compensation: $40–$50/hour
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Tax Analyst to support multistate tax compliance and regulatory requirements. This role will be responsible for managing recurring tax filings, maintaining compliance calendars, supporting audits, and assisting with tax-related research and special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file multistate sales and use tax returns accurately and within established deadlines.
- Maintain tax filing calendars, registrations, licenses, and other compliance records.
- Reconcile tax data to supporting reports and the general ledger, identifying discrepancies for review.
- Manage exemption certificate documentation and assist with tax rate and data maintenance.
- Support state and local tax audits by gathering documentation and preparing supporting schedules.
- Assist with annual reports, business registrations, and other regulatory filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support unclaimed property compliance, including research, documentation, and state filings.
- Assist with voluntary disclosures, remediation projects, and other multistate compliance initiatives.
- Prepare data, schedules, and supporting workpapers for tax filings and special projects.
- Conduct preliminary tax research related to taxability, jurisdictional requirements, and compliance matters.
- Maintain organized tax records and documentation while supporting process improvements and ad hoc projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in sales and use tax, tax compliance, or a related role.
- Working knowledge of multistate sales and use tax and nexus concepts.
- Experience with tax compliance software and/or ERP systems preferred.
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to work with large data sets.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
