We are seeking a passionate Culinary Program Coordinator & Chef to lead our growing culinary program. You will teach basic cooking skills to students in our culinary program, plan menus, source ingredients, and prepare meals for the ranch family. This is a meaningful hands-on role that combines culinary creativity with teaching and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and teach weekly cooking classes focused on basic cooking skills, kitchen safety, and confidence-building for program participants
- Plan nutritious, seasonal menus for ranch events, student training, and family meals
- Source high-quality ingredients (local farms, vendors, and suppliers)
- Prepare daily/weekly meals for the ranch family
- Maintain kitchen inventory, food safety standards, and cleanliness
- Work alongside students in the kitchen to provide job coaching and real-world culinary training
- Help students develop valuable life and vocational skills through food preparation
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of cooking or culinary teaching experience
- Passion for teaching and mentoring individuals with developmental disabilities
- Strong skills in menu planning, recipe development, and ingredient sourcing
- ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Patient, encouraging, and positive teaching style
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, close-knit team
- Reliable transportation and flexibility for occasional evenings/weekends during events
