American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral experience for a Level II Trauma Center.

Work in a Cath Lab department with 2 cath labs and 2 hybrid peripheral/OR suites
-
Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Level II Pediatric Trauma, Primary Stroke and Chest Pain Center, and teaching hospital with 417 beds
-
Patient population includes coronary artery disease, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, complex total occlusions, valvular disease, renal disease, carotid stenosis, limb salvage, peripheral stenosis, and thrombosis disease

Procedures include diagnostic cath studies, complex PCI, Impella insertion, and LVAD insertions
-
Charting systems include Epic (required), Epic Cupid (preferred), Alaris, and Omnicell
-
Charge nurse support available Monday-Friday, 0600-1630
-
Cath Lab and IR are separate departments with no float requirement
-
4-day facility and unit orientation with 10-hour shifts
-
Weekend rotation of Q4 weekends
-
On-call requirement of 1-2 days per week from 1630-0600 plus every 4th weekend from Friday 1630 to Monday 0600

Minimum 2 years of experience in coronary, complex PCI, and peripheral procedures required

BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
RT, equivalent certification, or RCIS required
-
License required if applicable

AA/AAS degree required
-
Ability to perform table movement (panning) required
-
Arrhythmia recognition, treatment, and critical patient assessment skills required

First-time travelers will not be considered

Provide diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization support including complex PCI and structural heart procedures

Assist with peripheral vascular interventions and limb salvage procedures
-
Facility is highly traveler-friendly and known for renewing travel contracts

Procedural scrubs provided

Possible holiday coverage of approximately 1 holiday per assignment

Time off requests must be approved through the Manager

Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted

Permanent staff must wait a full year before returning as a traveler
