Job Summary
We are seeking a team-oriented Dental Assistant to join our beautiful practice. Our practice is growing quickly and we need someone with the patient's best interest to join us, 1+ years of experience. Spanish speaking is preferred as well . Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Assist dentists during various procedures such as cleanings, restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology like 3D scanners while adhering to proper safety protocols.
- Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Provide chairside assistance with aseptic techniques and infection control procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
- Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care instructions, and oral health best practices to promote ongoing wellness.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control standards essential for safe practice.
- Experience with dental imaging techniques such as X-ray and 3D scanning technology.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices to effectively assist with young patients.
- Competence in general dentistry procedures along with specialized fields like endodontics and prosthodontics.
