Role overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant/Sr. Accountant with strong experience in US accounting, book-keeping, and QuickBooks. The role involves managing end-to-end accounting, invoicing, and financial records in a US accounting environment. You will ensure compliance with US taxation norms and support financial reporting. The position also requires coordination with internal stakeholders and US-based accounting/tax consultants.
Responsibilities:
Accounting & Finance
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable using QuickBooks.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Support finalization of accounts and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
- Stay updated on US Federal, State, and Local tax regulations.
- Support US tax compliance (Sales Tax, 1099s, basic understanding of federal/state taxes)
- Assist in preparation and filing of tax returns and coordinate with external CPAs.
- Assist in audit preparation and documentation
- Track and follow up on billing, invoices, and payment collections.
- Track project billing, time sheets, and revenue
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong understanding of US accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Hands-on expertise in QuickBooks (Online/Desktop – US version)
- Familiar with US taxation basics and compliance requirements
- Experience working with US clients or offshore accounting teams
- Experience collaborating with teams across time zones.
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
- Ability to work in US shift (1:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines
- Comfortable collaborating across geographies/ time zones
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive information.
