Medical Assistant Job Description
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Medical Assistant that enjoys a fast-paced workplace, you are responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient daily operations of a busy specialty office. You will assist physicians and patients through direct care, documentation, testing, and communication. Accuracy, timeliness, and a patient-centered approach are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Interview patients and document medical history accurately in the EMR
- Perform diagnostic and ancillary procedures (EKG, Neuropathy testing, Injections, Basal Metabolic Rate, Fibroscan, Body Composition, Blood Pressure, etc)
- Organize and schedule follow-up or diagnostic appointments as needed
- Submit prior authorizations and coordinate lab and imaging services
- Review, document, and type patient visit notes and chart details
- Initiate prior-authorization on medications
- Assist providers during medical examinations and procedures
- Complete tasks assigned by providers with precision and timely follow-through
- Prepare and sanitize exam rooms and equipment in compliance with infection control standards
Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
- Proficient in medical office procedures, EMR systems, and clinical protocols
- Strong time management and multitasking ability
- Clear, professional, and compassionate communication with patients
- Certification in Medical Assisting required
- Reliability and teamwork required
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage reviewed at 90 days.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
