Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infant Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role involves supporting infants' developmental needs in a nurturing classroom environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, possess relevant childcare experience, and be committed to fostering a safe and engaging space for infants to learn and grow. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities tailored to infants’ developmental stages
- Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants as needed
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment
- Observe and document infants’ progress and behaviors to inform individualized care plans
- Engage with infants through play, music, and sensory activities that promote cognitive and emotional development
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent caregiving practices and effective communication with parents or guardians
- Support special needs children by implementing individualized strategies in collaboration with specialists when applicable
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings, especially with infants or toddlers
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Familiarity with caregiving techniques including infant care, behavior management, and classroom management
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities or special needs; experience in special education is a plus
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and engaging with parents or guardians
- Compassionate caregiving attitude with patience and nurturing qualities
- Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of infants and maintain a positive, supportive environment

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
