Job Title: Dish/Attend Assoc-Part Time
FLSA Status: Non - Exempt
Reports to: Director of Food Service
Duties of the Dining Assistant:
· Serves food and/or beverages to banquet and buffet guests.
· Prepares tables for banquets, including setting up items such as linens, silverware and glassware.
· Checks with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meal and take action to correct any problems.
· Removes dishes and glasses from tables and take them to the kitchen for cleaning.
· Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens.
· Fill salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiment and napkin containers.
· May occasionally work at the Student Food Line.
· Assist in the clean-up after functions.
· Assist and support all other Food Services positions.

Experience:
No prior experience required. Employer will train.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively to customers, staff and students.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with simple mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a few concrete variables in situations where standardization exists. Ability to listen to and apply instructions. Ability to request guidance as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Some lifting and carrying of items weighting up to 50 pounds. Standing for long periods of time. Pulling, kneeling and twisting may be required for short periods of time.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.13 - $17.47 per hour
