JOB TITLE: GROUNDSKEEPER/MAINTENANCE WORKER
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: PART-TIME
PAY: Starting at $15/hr with opportunity for raises based on performance reviews

JOB DUTIES:
- Maintain the overall appearance of the grounds
- Mow using a riding mower, weed-eat, plant, mulch, water, weed, prune, rake
- Work with facilities manager on projects involving building and renovation
- Perform general repairs and maintenance
- Maintain tools and equipment
- Occasional handling of pesticides for grounds, chemicals, and tools for building labor. Proper PPE will be provided.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
SKILLS NEEDED:
- Basic knowledge of groundskeeping and maintenance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Takes direction well
- Strong work ethic
- Attention to detail
- Honesty and trust in the care of the nonprofit
PREFERRED SKILLS: (Training will be provided if necessary)
- Gardening and landscaping skills such as identifying plants, knowledge of plant needs, maintaining garden beds, weeding, and garden planning.
- Knowledge of general skills involving plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, etc.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment
- Ability to operate machinery such as a tractor, lawnmower, weed eater, chainsaw, etc.
