Duties
- Assist in planning and executing daily menus aligned with dietary guidelines and nutritional standards
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals following safety standards in production and food handling protocols
- Support food presentation, slicing techniques, knife skills, and food preparation tasks to ensure quality and efficiency
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, adhering strictly to food safety management practices
- Help coordinate catering events and special meal services while ensuring timely delivery and excellent service
- Follow all safety procedures during food production, including proper handling of kitchen equipment and utensils
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and high standards of food service
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience with menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and serving in restaurant or food industry settings
- Strong knowledge of safety standards in food production and food handling practices
- Culinary experience including knife skills, slicing techniques, and meal preparation methods
- Familiarity with kitchen operations in catering or healthcare environments is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to manage food safety protocols effectively and maintain high hygiene standards
- Experience working in fast-paced environments requiring excellent organizational skills
