Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, khan academy, physical activity, and social development.
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior.
- Manage daily classroom routines, including lesson planning, activity facilitation, and transition management to ensure a smooth flow of the day.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones to foster strong partnerships.
- Apply behavior management strategies to support children’s emotional regulation and social skills.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child welfare.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety standards such as first aid and CPR certifications.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with young children in daycare or preschool settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills.
- Knowledge of child development principles, early intervention strategies, and childhood education best practices.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and play-based learning.
- Proficiency in curriculum development tailored to diverse learning needs including special education considerations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment.
- Experience with infant, toddler care routines and preschool teaching methodologies that foster growth in early childhood education environments.
- Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure safety during all activities.
