Pay Schedule: Weekly pay of base salary and earned commission.
Role: The Account Manager is responsible for the successful execution, management, and growth of the company’s Lawn Care Maintenance services division. This role oversees up to 4 lawn care crews and ensures high-quality service delivery, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The manager will directly supervise a Field Supervisor and dedicated maintenance staff, focusing on achieving superior maintenance of new and existing customer properties.
Management and Oversight Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Manage the operational budget for the department including labor, materials, and equipment costs, to maintain profitability targets for each division. Assist Field Supervisors with weekly payroll approvals.
- Team Leadership: Supervises and coordinates with the Field Supervisors/ Crew Leaders in their involvement with mowing, trimming, edging, blowing on all maintenance properties. Train new employees on proper use of equipment with an emphasis on safety.
- Operational Planning: Coordinates applying seed, fertilizer, planting, sodding, etc on maintenance properties with the Enhancement Manager and Spray Manager.
Landscape Maintenance Program Responsibilities
- Quality Control: Ensure crew members maintain the customers’ property in the very best possible manner through proper horticultural practices and sustainable environmental efforts. Ensure quality control of landscape maintenance through a variety of methods to include on-site assistance and observation of job-performance and follow-up conversation with clients. Call or visit customers MONTHLY to ensure they are satisfied with the service and see if they have any concerns. Perform property walks with specified customers to explain horticultural practices and procedures. Provide all maintenance customers with monthly property walk form via email. Take soil tests and submit to Clemson Extension Services. This should be done for all areas on any properties that are not performing well. Ensure the company facilities and grounds are maintained in a professional appearance.
- Schedule: Plans the landscaping and maintenance task and instructs the employees on pruning trees and shrubs, chemical applications, mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing.
- Communication: Schedule service calls. Analyze and resolve work problems with either employees or customers.Estimating: Quote and present customers with estimates for enhancements on new and existing properties. Order adequate materials for all specified jobs.
- Employee Management: Suggest and initiate plans to motivate employees to achieve company goals. Recommend employee actions such as promotions, raises, bonuses, disciplinary and removal actions. Ensure all employees display professional appearance and manner at all times. Ensure all employees receive proper performance reviews.
- Irrigation System: Perform yearly irrigation audits on your property portfolio when less than 30 zones. Repair sprinkler heads, broken pipes and valves. Set and monitor irrigation controllers.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the crew equipment is being properly maintained and all equipment necessary for the daily jobs are properly loaded on trucks and trailers prior to morning departure.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in turf management, horticulture, or a related field, with demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Business Acumen: Proven ability to manage a significant book of business and control costs effectively.
- Technical Expertise: Use a PC and tablet. Understand how to open, edit and save Google Drive documents, and compose and respond to emails sent throughout the company and to customers using proper grammar. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and team management.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in all weather conditions. The use of manual and power operated equipment will be required.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
