About Us
Tri State Gate is a custom gate, fence, and automation company serving the tri-state area. We're a family-run business with a small, tight-knit office team, the kind of place where you'll know everyone by name in your first week. We move fast, we take care of our customers, and we need someone organized and dependable to help keep the office running smoothly.
The Role
You're the person who keeps the details handled so everyone else can do their best work. You'll manage schedules and appointments, keep our records accurate, answer customer calls and questions, handle correspondence and filing, and make sure nothing slips through the cracks. If you're naturally organized, like variety in your day, and take pride in being the person the whole office relies on, this is a great fit.
What You'll Do
- Keep the office organized and running day to day: records, files, correspondence, and accurate data entry
- Schedule appointments and site visits on the team's calendars and coordinate timing between customers and field staff
- Answer incoming calls, help customers, and route questions to the right person
- Handle customer service, billing, and payment questions, and follow through until they're resolved
- Stay in touch with customers and new leads so follow-ups never slip
- Support the sales and field team with whatever keeps their day moving
- Pitch in across the office wherever you're needed, which keeps the work varied and interesting
This describes the general nature of the role and is not an exhaustive list of duties. As a small team, responsibilities shift with the needs of the business, and we'll count on you to jump in where it helps.
What We're Looking For
- Highly organized with sharp attention to detail, you keep many things moving without dropping any
- A professional, friendly phone manner and clear communication
- A good memory for people and details, so customers feel known when they call back
- Comfortable on a computer and quick to learn new software (CRM, scheduling, email, spreadsheets)
- Prior administrative, office, reception, or customer service experience preferred
- Light sales or customer-relationship experience is a plus
- Dependable, punctual, and takes ownership
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, daytime hours between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM. We have more than one opening and assign shifts (for example 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) based on coverage needs and your availability. No nights or weekends.
Compensation and Benefits
- $20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience
- Health insurance with company contribution, eligible after 90 days
- 401(k) with company match, eligible after one year
- Paid vacation that grows with tenure
- Paid sick leave and six paid holidays
