Responsibilities
- Safely operate a low speed electric vehicle, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices
- Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, forklift, or pallet jack as needed, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure placement
- Drive assigned routes efficiently, following planned schedules while maintaining awareness of traffic laws and safety protocols
- Deliver packages directly to customers’ instructions or designated locations with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist with moving heavy items using manual handling equipment while practicing safe lifting practices to prevent injury
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and complete all necessary delivery documentation accurately
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route progress, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries
- Be able to work early mornings in all weather conditions.
- Attention to detail is a must
- Be able to lift over 50lbs on regular basis and navigate up and down stairs.
- Must be legally allowed to work in the U.S.
Experience
- Previous delivery driver experience or courier background preferred; familiarity with last mile delivery processes is a plus
- Warehouse experience beneficial for understanding loading/unloading procedures and inventory handling
- Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques, safe handling of weight in the workplace, and manual handling safety standards
- Experience driving in urban or suburban environments with route driving familiarity preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards building customer relationships

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
