Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia for diverse surgical and diagnostic procedures, ensuring tailored patient care.
- Conduct thorough preoperative assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physiology evaluation to develop individualized anesthesia plans.
- Monitor patient vital signs continuously during procedures using advanced medical equipment and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems to ensure stability and safety.
- Manage airway patency and perform airway management techniques during anesthesia induction and emergence to prevent respiratory complications.
- Respond swiftly to cardiovascular emergencies such as cardiac arrest or other critical incidents with appropriate resuscitation protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to coordinate perioperative care and optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, nursing policies, state Nursing Practice Acts, and NCQA standards while maintaining meticulous medical documentation of all procedures performed.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols while adhering to infection prevention and control practices.
- Provide pain management expertise for postoperative recovery, utilizing regional anesthesia techniques when appropriate.
- Maintain proficiency in the operation of medical equipment essential for anesthesia delivery and patient monitoring across hospital settings including ICU environments.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with current licensure in the applicable state.
- Proven critical care experience within ICU or emergency settings demonstrating strong patient assessment skills.
- Extensive knowledge of anesthesiology principles including general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, pediatrics, geriatrics, and cardiovascular emergency response.
- Demonstrated expertise in airway management techniques and airway rescue procedures.
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration protocols relevant to anesthesia practice.
- Experience with Epic EMR systems or other EHR platforms for accurate documentation of patient care activities.
- Ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest or respiratory distress with appropriate resuscitation measures.
- Commitment to nursing procedure compliance, patient safety measures implementation, healthcare infection prevention practices, and adherence to hospital policies.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care across diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics.
