Latitude is seeking a California-licensed litigation attorney for a remote opportunity supporting a law firm with offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego. This role is ideal for an attorney with meaningful commercial, employment or general litigation experience who is looking for either a permanent position or a contract role with flexibility. The successful candidate should have at least three years of experience handling litigation matters. The successful candidate will have be able to work on commercial, employment or general litigation matters depending on their interest and experience.
In this role, the attorney may assist with case workup for litigation matters, including pre-litigation strategy, motion practice, written discovery, legal research, drafting motions, depositions, and case assessment. The position requires sound judgment, strong writing and analytical skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a remote work setting. Candidates should be proactive, highly organized, responsive, and capable of producing high-quality work. The successful candidate can work from anywhere in the United States but they must have an active license to practice law in California.
Qualifications of the California-Licensed Litigation Attorney — Remote:
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial, employment and/or general litigation experience.
- Active license to practice law in California and current good standing with the California State Bar.
- Demonstrated experience with litigation tasks such as pleadings, motions, written discovery, legal research, depositions, and case analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines, competing priorities, and detailed assignments in a remote environment.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound professional judgment, and take ownership of assigned matters.
- Collaborative approach and willingness to work as part of a dynamic legal team.
- Excellent academic credentials and a strong record of professional achievement.

Compensation
The annualized compensation for this position ranges from $170,000 to $210,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay is based on numerous factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials and location. In addition to salary, Latitude Engaged Professionals are W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week, including a Qualified 401k plan. Benefits-eligible Latitude employees receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D and professional liability insurance. Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
