As a Shipping Forklift Operator, you'll play an important role in ensuring customer orders are shipped safely, accurately, and on time. You'll operate a forklift to move, stage, unload, and load outbound shipments while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting efficient shipping operations.
Shift: Second Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM). Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs
Pay: $17.50 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate a forklift to move, stage, and load finished products for customer shipment.
- Load outbound trailers while verifying product accuracy and shipment requirements.
- Unload inbound materials as needed and transport products throughout the shipping and warehouse areas.
- Organize inventory and maintain accurate product locations.
- Complete daily forklift inspections and promptly report equipment concerns.
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to support efficient shipping operations.
- Accurately complete required shipping, inventory, and equipment documentation.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting continuous improvement efforts and assisting with additional responsibilities as business needs require.
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
- Valid forklift certification or the ability to successfully complete company forklift certification.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, safety procedures, and job-related documentation in English.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately complete required documentation.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused, and committed to producing quality work.
What to Expect on the Job
This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll spend most of your shift operating a forklift, moving finished products, loading trailers, and supporting shipping operations. Our facility is not climate controlled, and personal protective equipment is required on the production floor. This position requires frequent sitting while operating equipment, getting on and off the forklift throughout the shift, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds as needed.
