Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Executive Chef to lead our culinary team for a true BBQ operation. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, pit smoker, menu execution and food preparation to staff supervision and quality control. Your expertise will ensure that every dish served embodies excellence, creativity, and consistency, delighting our guests and maintaining our reputation for solid consistent execution. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated culinary leader eager to inspire teams, execute menus, and grow with the company. This job is a full time position that will be a seven day a week operation.
Duties
- Lead the team in all pit smoking operations and consistency
- Lead the planning, development, and execution of consistent menus tailored to our refined dining standards and guest preferences
- Supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and food handlers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
- Oversee food production processes to ensure quality, presentation, and consistency across all dishes
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and proper handling procedures at all times
- Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service
- Oversee kitchen operations during shifts, managing staffing schedules and maintaining efficient workflow
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control, and menu pricing strategies
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment aligned with health standards and company policies
Skills
- Extensive culinary experience with a focus on Pit Smoking
- Must have experience operating a high volume company of 3+ million annually
- Proven supervisory experience leading diverse kitchen teams in high-volume settings
- Strong knowledge of dietary requirements and food management practices specially in tex-mex cuisine and smoking
- Skilled in inventory management, control procedures, and cost optimization strategies
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a focus on team motivation and development
- Experience in catering coordination and restaurant management
- Deep understanding of food safety standards and proper handling practices
- Ability to manage shift operations efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff and management within the hospitality industry
