Machinist Assistant
Our Canton Pattern and Mold division of Lustrous Metal Coatings is seeking a Machinist Assistant to join our team. We have the ability to produce CNC machined tooling in virtually any material. As a full-service pattern shop, we can take a project from a basic concept all the way to production.
We are looking for a mechanically skilled machine operator with experience in CNC machining, CNC lathe turning and CNC router.
Responsibilities
· Operate and monitor production equipment and supporting systems through structured on-the-job training.
· Perform assigned production and equipment tasks independently after completing required training.
· Safely operate CNC equipment and support systems in compliance with established procedures.
· Monitor equipment, processes, and safety systems.
Qualifications
· 5 years’ experience in machinery and technology
· Manufacturing machine operation skills, maintenance, and troubleshooting
· Computer savvy with AutoCAD / Solidworks experience
· Basic math skills
· Basic computer skills
· Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent; Associate degree a plus
· Ability to lift 35 lbs.
· Ability to read and follow work instructions in English
· Desire for continuous learning
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Shift 7AM-3PM
$15-$20/hour depending on experience
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
