American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an outpatient Infusion position requiring at least 2 years of true chemo infusion experience in an ambulatory oncology setting.

Outpatient clinic setting with 56 chairs and a high-volume patient census of 180–200 patients per day
-
Patient population includes outpatient chemotherapy, blood product transfusions, enzyme replacement therapy, Remicade infusions, multiple sclerosis infusions, and kidney transplant infusions

Team includes 2 NPs, a resource nurse, a charge nurse, and approximately 20 floor nurses per day

Clinical techs are available to place IVs and draw blood

EMR: Epic with Beacon (experience preferred)

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Weekend shifts required
-
1 major holiday required
-
No on-call or standby requirement

Floating may be required to other campus infusion centers; travelers are the first to float, though floating is typically not necessary unless absolutely needed

Active VA or Compact RN license required

BLS certification required
-
Chemo/biotherapy card required
-
Minimum 2 years of outpatient infusion experience required; must include true chemo infusion experience

Ambulatory oncology experience required

Epic/Beacon EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and biotherapy, blood transfusions, therapeutic phlebotomy, injections, symptom management, focused assessments, patient education, and care coordination (labs, follow-ups, provider and front desk communication)

Orientation consists of 1–2 weeks of on-site training

Navy scrubs required

Candidates must be flexible and committed to fostering positive, relationship-centered interactions with patients and staff
