Flagpole Technician/Installer Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for completing flagpole installations from start-to-finish and providing customers with exceptional service. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- installing flagpoles of all types and sizes
- digging, pouring, and finishing concrete foundations
- inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing flagpoles
- loading and unloading flagpoles, supplies, and tools on/off company vehicles
- receiving, sorting, and processing incoming orders
- working efficiently and independently on jobsites and at the store
- ensuring jobs are completed on time and within Fly Me Flag quality standards
- ensuring equipment, vehicles, retail and storage areas are kept clean and organized
- maintaining exterior business location (shoveling snow, cutting grass, sweeping, etc., as needed)
- assisting and sharing flagpole knowledge with customers on job sites
- working together with team members and owners to achieve business goals
Flagpole Technician/Installer Qualifications:
- Ability to use power and hand tools including, but not limited to, shovels, spades, pry bars, post hole diggers, wheelbarrows, and a hydraulic auger
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work without supervision
- Ability to lift up to 60lbs on a regular basis and up to 80lbs occasionally
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and DOT physical
- High school diploma or equivalent
Working Environment:
- Flagpole installers work outdoors for extended periods of time with fluctuating temperatures.
- This position works on flagpoles at residential homes, businesses, and active construction sites.
- Daily travel within Wisconsin and Upper Michigan is required.
